Although recent advancements in motorcycle electronics and screen technology have enabled previously impossible solutions, there is still ample opportunity for improving motorcycle UX. To showcase the future of motorcycle dashboard design, I’ve created a concept that integrates today’s best practices from the automotive industry. It demonstrates how a powerful UI can be ergonomic and seamless for riders while remaining cost-effective and practical.
Whether a short trip or a long journey, the interface contains everything you need to control your bike and plan your next steps — no more and no less. You can choose what you see from the available views, ranging from full-featured navigation to tire pressure and current music track. Critical information is always within sight.
While stationary, the dashboard works like a regular tablet, and you can familiarly use the touch screen. While driving, remote and voice control options are available to reduce distractions and increase safety.
Some actions perform automagically: no need to bother pressing any button if we can predict an intention.
Seamless phone integration
Connect your phone and headset to the dashboard, listen to music, and stay in touch with your friends and family.
Smooth animation and a thoughtful color system help to clearly demonstrate the motorcycle’s state.
With a noticeable onscreen indicator, you won’t forget to turn off the turn signals.
Powerful but not overwhelming
You can get directions, turn on the heated grips, switch the ABS mode, or check the oil temperature. Stay focused on the road with a straightforward and fast navigation system.
